About Us
Hello, and thank you for choosing to visit us here at boxerblogz.com. We are so excited you decided to pay us a visit. This blog is set up to help potential, newbie, amateur, and veteran boxer owners better understand their dogs. You will notice that there are many different topics up for discussion on this site and it will be updated regularly with boxer information.
Before we get too deep into understanding the curious, loving, silly, and always devoted mind that is a boxer I would like to tell you a little about myself and the creators of this site.

My name is Dixie. (That’s me, aren’t I cute?) I was born on May 20th, 2008. As of this blog, I am almost a year old. I was born in a small town in Alabama. My mommy and daddy live in Georgia and drove the 4 hour trip to come and bring me home. I also have an older brother, Mickey.

This is him. He weighs around 80 pounds. He is 2 1/2 years old right now and he came from Athens, Georgia. Even though we aren’t related, mommy and daddy still call us brother and sister. You might notice that my brother doesn’t have the typical smooshed in boxer face, it’s more long. This is because he is from a German bloodline of boxers. German boxers are known to weigh more than the typical American boxers most of us are familiar with (like me…I only weigh in at a little over 40 pounds).
You might wonder how we got our names. Interesting story, really. When my mommy was growing up in Pennsylvania, she grew up with two boxers of her own. When her family first got their boxers, they were trying to think of names for them. The first boxer they got was a male. Her family decided to name him Rocky, after the popular boxing movie. A few years later, they got a female and decided to stick with the “Rocky” theme. They named her Adrian (after Rocky’s girlfriend/wife in the movie). When my mommy and daddy decided to get my brother and I, they decided to continue with the name scheme. My older brother, Mickey, received his name from Rocky’s trainer in the movie. Mommy and daddy had a little harder time with my name, since they’re really weren’t a whole lot of additional females in the movie. They decided to name me Dixie after the last Rocky movie when Rocky fought against a boxer named Mason “The Line” Dixon. I’m sure my mommy and daddy will continue with the fun name scheme in the future as well.
Speaking of my mommy and daddy, here is a picture of them with my brother, Mickey.

My daddy’s name is Angel and my mommy’s name is Kerriann. I couldn’t make this blog without a little bit of their help. We all currently live south of Atlanta, Georgia and have been here for about 4 years. We are a small family, but really happy. My mommy and daddy spoil my brother and I rotten and take us everywhere. If you need some good advice on anything boxer, I’m sure my brother and I can help you out. We look forward to you’re feedback as well. If there is something you don’t see on this site that you feel is a hot topic that you would like to see, please let us know and we will do our best to make sure every boxer is as happy as we are!
