In a nutshell, the way the DogWatch works is a wire is buried around the perimeter of your yard, around gardens, or anywhere you do not want your dog to trespass. The dog wears a collar that receives a radio signal from a control box that is usually mounted in the garage of the home. When the dog approaches the underground wire or “the line,” they receive an audible warning. Only if the dog continues to progress will they receive a correction. I like to refrain from using the word “shock” since this is not what the dog receives. What the dog receives is a high frequency vibration. You can set the sensitivity of the correction to suit your dog.
